1. Who we are and what this covers
Shwe Sin Phyu is an English-learning app for Burmese speakers, made by Shwe Lamplight LLC, a Wyoming company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app keeps about you, where it goes, and how you can delete it.
In short: your lessons run on your phone, your phone number is never uploaded, and we do not sell your information, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. If you are 13 or older, the app also sends a few anonymous usage counts so we can improve the lessons (see section 2); you can turn this off in Settings.

2. What we collect
The app keeps some things only on your phone and uploads others to an online backup. The backup is on by default and you can turn it off in Settings.

Your birth month and year stay on your phone and are never uploaded. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, payment details or advertising ID. The usage counts above are the only analytics in the app. They are not linked to you, they do not include your IP address, an advertising ID or the exact time, and they are sent only if you are 13 or older and have not turned them off. The app does not contain third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools. Any ads you see in the app are our own offers for our paid plans. If we add third-party advertising or analytics, we will update this policy first. Audio in the lessons is pre-recorded, so nothing you do is sent anywhere to make it.
3. How we use it, and who helps us
We use your information only to run the app: to save and restore your progress, to schedule your reviews, to sign you in, and to find and fix problems in the lessons. We do not sell your information or rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We use the usage counts only to improve the lessons and to see whether our own upgrade offers are useful. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not share them with advertisers.
Three companies process data for us:
- Supabase stores the online backup, runs sign-in, and receives the anonymous usage counts. The data is held in the Asia-Pacific region, so it is processed outside the United States and outside Myanmar. Supabase can see a device's internet address while a message is being delivered; we do not save it with the counts.
- Cloudflare runs a "Turnstile" check that tells people from bots when the app creates a guest sign-in or sends a sign-in code, and on the website's delete page. It sees your device's internet address and some browser details for that check, and says it uses them only to block bots. We do not save them. Under-13 learners never reach this check, because device-only mode has no sign-in.
- Resend sends the sign-in code emails if you choose "Save my progress". It sees your email address and the code for that message.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a learner. If the company is ever sold, the information goes with it under this same policy.
4. Children and parent permission
Learners of any age may use Shwe Sin Phyu. The first time you open the app, it asks for the month and year you were born. That answer stays on your phone and is never sent online.
Age 13 and over. You can use every feature, including the online backup and saving your progress to an account. If you are under 18 (or under the age of adulthood where you live), a parent or guardian must read this policy and the Terms and agree to them for you.
Under 13: device-only mode. A learner under 13 can use all the lessons, but the app sends nothing online. There is no guest sign-in, no online backup and no account, and those options are hidden. The app also sends no usage counts for a learner under 13. Everything stays on the phone. We do not collect information online from children under 13, and we never ask a child for a phone number, address or photo.
If a learner who already used the backup turns out to be under 13, the app erases their online copy and does not make a new one. A parent or guardian can also ask us at any time to delete anything we hold about their child, using the in-app delete button or by emailing support@shwesinphyu.com. If we learn that we hold online information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
5. Your choices, keeping, safety, and changes
Turn off the online backup. In Settings you can switch online backup off. That stops new uploads. It does not remove what is already online; use delete for that.
Turn off usage counts. In Settings you can switch off "Share anonymous usage counts" at any time. This is separate from the online backup. After you switch it off, the app sends none. Counts already sent are not linked to you, so we cannot find them and remove them; they never contain your name, email or account.
Delete everything. On the Me tab, choose "Delete my profile and progress". The app erases your online copy (your guest or account record, your email if you saved one, your progress and your answers) and then erases the lessons data on your phone. If you have no internet, nothing is deleted and the app tells you, so you can try again. Deleting your profile also switches usage counts off on that phone. You can also delete from the Delete my data page, or ask by email.
See or correct your information. Email support@shwesinphyu.com and we will tell you what we hold for you, or fix it. For us to find your backup, tell us the email you saved the account with.
How long we keep it. We keep your online copy until you delete it. We do not keep copies after a delete, except where a backup made by our provider is overwritten on its normal schedule.
Safety. Data travels over encrypted connections. Each backup is protected by access rules so that a signed-in learner can reach only their own records. No online service is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise it.
Other countries. Our company is in the United States and our provider stores data in the Asia-Pacific region. By using the backup you agree that your information is processed there. If the law where you live gives you more rights, such as access or deletion, we will honor them; write to us.
Changes. If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
